Yachiyotsubaki
Product Introduction
Yachiyotsubaki is a cultivated peony of the genus Paeonia, Paeoniaceae, native to Japan. Its chrysanthemum-shaped flowers are a vibrant rouge red, with thick, full-colored petals reaching up to 16 cm in diameter. The petals gradually decrease in size from the outside inward, and the stamens are often dark purple. The peony has large leaves with slender, pointed leaflets and a velvety dorsum. The plant grows upright, with bluish-green new branches and petioles, and a purple-red lining on the petiole concave. It is a late-blooming variety. In the early 1980s, this variety was introduced to Luoyang, China, through cultural exchange between China and Japan. After decades of introduction and cultivation, it has now adapted to cultivation conditions in many parts of China. As a late-flowering variety, Yachiyotsubaki blooms from late April to early May. It is cultivated and displayed in major peony viewing areas, such as Wangcheng Park and the China National Flower Garden in Luoyang. Its vibrant colors and high flowering rate make it suitable for forced flowering and potted planting, and it possesses high ornamental value.
